Christians, Buddhists, Muslims and atheists alike are taking selfies in hijabs in a bid to shun Islamophobia and show their support for Muslim women.
Channel 10's Jessica Rowe and Nova host Meshel Laurie are amongst thousands of supporters of the Women in Solidarity with Hijabs (WISH) campaign, which has reached over 15,000 likes on Facebook in just eight days.
The campaign organiser, Mariam Veiszadeh, told Daily Mail Australia that she was inspired to launch the movement following an increase in the number of racial incidents against Australian Muslim women that were being reported.
