The Russia Scandal is the Biggest Lie of the Century
President of the Cambridge Forecast Group of Japan
Born in Tokyo 1954, he graduated from Waseda University. He has published a number of books, one of which ranked 2nd in the non-fiction department at Maruzen Marunouchi, one of Japan’s largest bookstores.
The U.S. media has been reporting as though President Trump is guilty of colluding with the Russians, but there has been no evidence that Trump or his associates have committed any illegal actions. They only met with Russian officials. There is not a single piece of evidence of unlawful conduct.
The Root of the Problem: Remains from the Obama Administration
Then why has the scandal been so magnified? This is because there are people left in the bureaucracy from the Obama administration. Trump is pro-Russia and anti-China, and is planning to undo much of the Russian diplomacy and intelligence policies that Obama pursued. These bureaucrats and media forces are afraid that their efforts up until now are about to unravel.
The media is also wary of losing their agency because Trump uses his Twitter account to convey information. This is another reason for their opposition to the administration.
In other words, the interests of the pro-Obama bureaucrats and the interests of the media coincide with each other. The bureaucrats leak information to the media, and the media exaggerates the severity of the information, so they can corner Trump.
Trump Is Proactive On Anti-Corruption
The media have ignored this, but Trump has been active in investigations into pedophile rings involved in human trafficking of young children. This was actually related to why the Russia scandal was so magnified.
In 2014, the number of arrests was around 400, but this rose to 3000 internationally in April this year. The investigations have placed politicians and media-related authorities under suspicion for being connected to the trafficking.
In other words, the deeper Trump probes into this issue, the more these politicians and media officials are in danger. This is another motive for trying to crush Trump.
So in fact, under the surface, the Russia scandal is just a bunch of powerful people panicking that they will lose their jobs or get arrested.
But international media only reiterate what the U.S. media reports, so each country is developing a growing resentment for Trump.
But Trump is trying to advance anti-corruption and press reforms. If we look at it this way, we don’t need to be swayed by biased media reports.
Anti-Trump Bureaucrats: Leaks, Surveillance and Wiretapping
How does the media keep coming up with scandals involving Trump and his aides?
The answer: deep state. Deep state is a shadow government comprised of bureaucrats and members of the financial industry who are unhappy about the current policies. They leak to the media information that is disadvantageous to the president and his aides, so they can create a political environment that suits their ideals. It is also known as the ‘state within a state’.
In the U.S., the newly elected president not only appoints his Cabinet, but often also replaces many of the bureaucrats. Trump, however, has been unable to do this due to resistance from Congress. Which is why most of Obama’s bureaucrats are now working for him.
To prove this, 97% of workers in the Department of Justice now investigating the Russia scandal, have in the past donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. In other words, most of Trump’s bureaucracy is anti-Trump.
What is at the root of their resistance to Trump is the differences their views on the international situation. Many of the bureaucrats still remember the Cold War and to this day retain the idea that Russia is an enemy. Trump, on the other hand, is trying to improve relations with Russia; and this is because is wary of China with its ambitions of territorial expansion. The bureaucrats who find this unwelcome are doing everything they can to get in the way of Trump.
Illegal Surveillance of the People
The most controversial aspect of the Deep State is the surveillance conducted by bureaucratic organizations such as the NSA (under the Department of Defense), CIA (specialising in foreign intelligence) and the FBI (a police force).
Since before his inauguration, Trump had said that he was under surveillance, and finally in April this year, Obama’s Security Advisor Susan Rice admitted in a television interview that the government had placed Trump and his associates under surveillance.
Their surveillance target is not necessarily limited to politicians and crime syndicates. In May, a former NSA contractor leaked that the NSA is spying on over 20 million U.S. civilians. That is, 1 in every 20 people.
The military is not permitted to intervene in peoples’ domestic lives during the nation’s peacetime. But the NSA has accessed private individuals’ google and facebook account data, as well as records from telecommunication companies including phone companies, as a so-called anti-terrorism measure.
The NSA tracked innocent civilians to record when, where and what these people were doing. Sometimes the NSA would hack into business computers, until recently when private companies have begun to install technology to block these invasions.
Former NSA and CIA worker Edward Snowden says that the NSA commits over 3000 criminal offences every year but no one questions their methods.
It takes a true leader-politician to the defeat the dominating corrupt bureaucracy. We watch in the hope for Trump’s reforms.
Anti-Conspiracy Law is Not To Be Used Lightly
In June, Japan legislated a new anti-terrorism conspiracy law that allows police to arrest people if a crime is being planned or prepared. When such a law is instigated, it will eventually lead to the Orwellian society where each citizen is placed under strict and sustained surveillance.
States must be careful at all times against legislating laws that limit the freedom of its people.
The Frightening NSA Surveillance System
- Over 20 million people have been placed under surveillance since the USA PATRIOT ACT signed in 2001
- The NSA conducts over 3000 illegal actions every year, and yet no one questions their methods
- They sometimes hack Google and Yahoo. Companies have adopted methods to block this, and some have filed lawsuits
The Japanese Media Follows The U.S. Media
The Japanese media have an aversion towards the country’s sometimes-blind subordination to the U.S.
With regards to Trump coverage however, the Japanese media itself is subordinately following the U.S. media.
The U.S. bureaucracy and media have joined hands to produce a vast number of fictive inventions in their news coverage on President Trump. Japan’s reports on Trump are also interlaced with false information. Not surprisingly, most Japanese media companies are anti-Trump.
After Comey’s Senate hearing in June, reported spread throughout Japan that, “The President Ordered Investigations to Stop” (Asahi ANN) “Trump Administration Lies” (Sankei Shimbun) and “Government Lies About FBI Former Director’s Dismissal” (Tokyo Shimbun).
Usually, media opinion comes out with conflicting views, but this time almost every headline criticized Trump. Constant one-sided exposure to this prejudice will surely have the people of Japan tuned against Trump without their even knowing what actually happened. Japan’s general anti-Trump sentiment is a creation of the media.
Why The Japanese Media Lies
There are several possible reasons why Japan’s media would endorse the views propagated by U.S. media.
One is that, most of the U.S. media companies that have a Japanese tie-up are leftist. This means that the information that enters Japan is left-sided, and is therefore biased against Trump.
Another reason could be Japan’s lack of newsgathering. The primary media companies have a U.S. branch, but their main job is to simply translate local news reports. With daily deadlines coupled with a lack of human resources for newsgathering, they are being limited to relying on American reports. This is how these companies end up exporting false news and lies into Japan.
In other words, the Russia scandal exposed the limits of Japan’s media. It is obviously a requirement that the media itself have some media literacy.
“I Will Fight For You With Every Breath in My Body”
A compilation of Trump anecdotes not reported in the media
It was the dream of a 10-year-old boy with terminal cancer to have Trump say to him “You are fired”, the punch line from The Apprentice tv series. Trump went to visit him in hospital one day, but could not bring himself to say the line, but instead gave the boy a check of several thousand dollars and said, “Do your best and enjoy your life”.
While competing in the Miss Universe pageant, a controversy erupted around Tara Conner and her alcohol behaviour. She also tested positive for cocaine, and the many people demand the removal of her title as Miss USA.
But the pageant’s owner Donald Trump opened a press conference where he stated that Conner would not be dethrone on the condition that she undertake rehabilitation. “I’ve always been a believer in second chances”, he said bringing tears into Conner’s eyes as she sat next to him.
Conner eventually recovered through her rehab. In March 2017, she expressed her gratitude to Trump on USA Today: “He saved m life and, essentially, made me great again.”
In 1986 a farm in Georgia was placed under distraint. The owner killed himself for the insurance money so they could pay off the debts, but it was insufficient and the property was put on auction. Trump was exasperated when he heard this story on the news, and called to stop the auction.
He raised funds and adding his own contribution, paid off the debts.
He invited the family to New York. He said on the news that he hoped this incident will become a light of hope for the farmers all over the country.
Having lost his brother to alcoholism, trump chooses not to drink.
He does not smoke either, and has been strict with his children to avoid dependence on stimulants.
While he accepts the legalization of marijuana since it was decided by majority vote, he is strictly against other recreational drugs.
In stark contrast, as a high school student Barack Obama used to smoke, drink and use marijuana and cocaine, and even said during his presidency that marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol.
This propelled the U.S. to legalize marijuana.
“What truly matters is not which party controlled our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.”
“I will fight for you with every breath in my body”
(from Donald Trump’s inaugural speech, on 21 January 2017)
“We must always remember that we share one home and one glorious destiny, whether we are brown, black or white. We all bleed the same red blood of patriots. We all salute the same great American flag. And we are all made by the same almighty God.”
(from Donald Trump’s commencement address at Liberty University, on 13 May 2017)
“Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith.
Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death…
If we do not stand in uniform condemnation of this killing—then not only will we be judged by our people, not only will we be judged by history, but we will be judged by God.”
